Hello

March 7, 2011
This week we met Korihor. He was hispanic but wanted to speak to us in English. He knows that God exists but doesn't think he loves us. If he loved us he would show up when we needed him so he chooses to serve the other guy. He said lots of creepy things to us and said he was a witch. All we could really do was bear our testimony to him because he really didn't want to learn. Oh! And I accidently rear ended somebody...oops. I was only going about 2 MPH though. It didn't do anything to the other car but one of the headlight covers broke. We taught our first English class and we had an investigator (Josefina) and a member family (the Arguetas) come. It was fun. We taught getting to know you questions, numbers and colors. We played lots of fun games with it too.
We had Stake Conference and it was transmitted from SLC. Elders Cook and Erying spoke. I didn't get as much out of it as I would have liked because it was in Spanish. We watched it in Spanish because one of our super cool investigaros (Julisa) came and so we were in the Relief Society room watching it in Spanish with her and the rest of the branch.
No more time, gotta run!
Love you all

Loss of a very dear friend

June 6th we celebrated Patches 14th birthday. That is 79 years in dog years. Two days latter, she became very sick. We took her to the vet the next day. She had a fever of almost 107. They immediately packet her in ice, put an IV in her, and sprayed her with alcohol with a fan blowing on her. When we left her her temperature was down to 105 and she was responding to us. In fact she even tried to get up to go with us but she was so weak, she could only lift her head. She died in the night at the vet hospital. We were very sad. Clarence picked her up the next day and we had a little service for her. We were very sad. He dug a hole for her on the hill over looking our house in a little grove of trees. We placed her on the quad and Clarence took her for one last ride up to her final resting spot. (She loved riding on the quad with him). We placed her in the grave and said a little prayer. Afterward we placed flowers on her grave. Sarah and her family were here when we had our little service. Chris was so good to help us. So long Patches, we will miss you until we meet again and thanks for the wonderful memories. We love you!
